Sojourn Over

Its nice to be back from my sojourn to America.   Mike Turnbull and Gaz Watts have completed their bike ride marathon from Land's End to John O' Groats two great charities benefitted from their efforts.   There was a Hog Roast to celebrate their achievement with the "Pub Lads" performing and more donations to the charities.   Xmas Fayre is almost here, is it that time of year already.   The Welwick Christmas Auction has celebrated its 45th year.

Possibly no newsletter next month with Christmas coming up but will try my best to get a festive edition out on time.   If not have a very Merry Christmas and look forward to writing a new post in the New Year.   Plus there's more news tit-bits.

Editors New Year Message

Message from the editor, Happy New Year.   And wasn't the Old Year a snowy one!   Everyone seemed more than happy with the first fall of snow. One morning I went for a walk, the sky was blue, the sun was shining and the snow was deep and crunchy.   It looked so gorgeous I took some pictures of Skeffling in the snow which are now on the website.

Xmas Fayre, fortunately, this year the Xmas Fayre was held just before the worst of snow descended on us, so everyone was able to get into the Village Hall and raised £800.   Burn's Night for all of you who have been anxiously waiting for news of Burn's Night, here it is!   This year it will be on Saturday, 5th February. There's a Family Fit Challenge with a holiday for four as a prize also there's a prize in our Monster 2010 Quiz.   Why not add your opinion.
