Ted Douglas 1929 - 2012 It's with great sadness we have to say a final goodbye to Ted Douglas. The Pub Lads WOW! What a night that was. The Village Hall was packed and the music really rocked! Cherie Lawrence has been to the Village Hall three times now, and been a success every time.
Village Hall News. At the Village Hall AGM the Chairman, Lynda Payne, said that very little had happened during the financial year, but this coming year lots of things are planned. There are loads of events planned for the coming year, Burn's Night especially. Plus lots of another tit-bits.

Scourge of the Sewers
I'd like to wish all my readers a very Happy New Year, and thank you for staying with Skeffling News. It's hard to believe I've lived in Skeffling for 13 years, and been Parish Clerk for 12 of those years. It's flown by so quickly, and it's never been dull!
Scourge of the Sewers, last week it took 3 men in 3 vehicles, 2 hours to free the sewage pump at the crossroads of the scourge of baby wipes. Afternoon Tea... If you fancy having Afternoon Tea with your friends, you couldn't do better than come on down to Skeffling Village Hall 2:00 pm on Saturday 18th February.
This years charity 'RED' Nightclub...is based at Armstrong's bar at Hull University and run entirely by volunteers a nightclub for adults with learning disabilities. 60s Disco...The last time we had a 60s disco at Skeffling Village Hall, it was a great success. So much so that they're having another one. Plus lots of other tit-bits.

Sojourn Over
Its nice to be back from my sojourn to America. Mike Turnbull and Gaz Watts have completed their bike ride marathon from Land's End to John O' Groats two great charities benefitted from their efforts. There was a Hog Roast to celebrate their achievement with the "Pub Lads" performing and more donations to the charities. Xmas Fayre is almost here, is it that time of year already. The Welwick Christmas Auction has celebrated its 45th year.
Possibly no newsletter next month with Christmas coming up but will try my best to get a festive edition out on time. If not have a very Merry Christmas and look forward to writing a new post in the New Year. Plus there's more news tit-bits.

But where do they go to rehearse? Advance news of Bonfire Night. Plus there's more news on the bus timetable changes.
